Introduction

Vritra Security Organization ("we", "our", or "us") publishes Glitch AI Engine - a Linux-native desktop terminal with an integrated Glitch AI assistant. This Privacy Policy covers the Glitch application and the website at glitch.vritrasec.com.

Glitch is designed to keep sensitive data on your machine. We do not operate a cloud backend that stores your terminal activity, API keys, or chat history.

Everything the desktop app stores, sends, and never collects.

Stored under ~/.config-vritrasecz/Glitch/:

Configuration - themes, profiles, quick commands
AI settings - Gemini API key and model
Session state - tabs, splits, working directories
Chat history - today's messages only, pruned daily

Never sent

What we don't collect

The app does not send to VritraSec servers:

Terminal commands or shell output
API keys or configuration files
AI chat history on disk
Personal identification information

When you use Glitch AI or Send to AI:

Prompts and context go directly to Google's API
Your API key authenticates with Google only
Governed by Google's Privacy Policy
We do not log Gemini API traffic

Updates

Update & model checks

Background checks to official VritraSec endpoints for:

Application updates (Settings → Updates)
Available Gemini model list refresh

No API key, chat content, or terminal data included. Updates are manual - never auto-installed.

Important: API keys are stored in plain text on your filesystem. Protect ~/.config-vritrasecz/Glitch/ with appropriate file permissions.

Your data stays yours

Local storage: Sensitive data remains on your Linux system under standard file permissions
No VritraSec cloud: Glitch does not sync config or history to our infrastructure
Your responsibility: Do not share your config directory; revoke API keys if a machine is compromised

This website

Pages at glitch.vritrasec.com are separate from the desktop app. Downloads come from cdn.vritrasec.com - a standard file transfer; we do not receive your terminal or AI data.

Delete

Remove that directory to clear config, session, and local AI history.

Disable AI

Do not set an API key - terminal features work without Glitch AI.

Analytics opt-out

Use the browser add-on or cookie controls described above.

Children's privacy

Glitch AI Engine is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application or website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting the new version on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Changes are effective when posted.
